BioI should know better than to set up a blog. Who has time to keep up with this sort of thing, anyway?
What you need to know about me:
I work in Georgetown, a historic neighborhood of Washington, D.C., at the Peabridge Library. Despite the fact that I have completed two years of study to get my Masters degree in Library Science, I spend my days dressed in colonial clothing (yep, embroidered skirts, lace bodices, muslin mob-cap) in a sometimes-futile attempt to lure people into the library. Furthering those attempts, we serve coffee in the library - guess who gets to be the barista?
Other things about me: My best friend is named Melissa White and she owns the best bakery in the world, CakeWalk. My favorite bakery treats are Bunny Bites (miniature carrot cakes.) Before I realized I wanted to be a librarian, I thought that I wanted to teach English, so I have a worthless masters degree in that. I have memorized ridiculous amounts of Shakespeare, which I have a tendency to quote when I'm looking for just the perfect phrase. I was raised by my grandmother, who calls me on a regular basis and extracts promises from me that I will (or won't) do any variety of bizarre behaviors.
